Sien Jou Môre is a South African Afrikaans film by Elmo de Witt that was produced in 1970.

The film

It’s the Sixties and two students, Tien and Nelia, are in love. A friend dies from a drug overdose. Shortly thereafter, the friend’s boyfriend commits suicide. Tien believes that a professor at the local university is responsible for both deaths. A confrontation ensues between the two men which leads to tragedy.

The film was released in 1970.

Production team

It was directed by Elmo de Witt. The writers of the script were A.P. du Plessis, Elmo de Witt and Tony Jay.

Production Management was by Tommie Meyer, Bill Venter (associate producer) and Ben Vlok. Additional writing credits are due to Tony Jay, Jan Scholtz, Sakkie van der Walt and Vera Gibson. The novel was by W.A. de Klerk.

Music was by Con Lamprecht and cinematography by Louis de Witt. Edting was by Louis de Witt, Oscar Burn and Sias Odendaal.

Art direction was by Ian Haselau and Nola du Preez was the makeup artist.

Philip Markgraaff was the production manager and Bob Frazer was responsible for set construction. Cas Odendaal and Robin Prior were responsible for sound. The assistant camera was Uwe Beckmann and Andrie Janson was the costumer.

The assistant editoro was Diana Friedberg (as Diana Ginsberg) and Katinka Waterborg was responsible for continuity. The help of the following additional crew was also enlisted: Sias Odendaal for titles; Bertrand Retief and Tobie Winterback for marketing and publicity; and Willem van der Merwe as an administrative manager.
