Based on the childhood memories of Dylan Thomas, the title taken from the poem Fern Hill, the work was devised and directed for The Company by Janice Honeyman, assisted by Robert Whitehead.

1982/1983: Performed by The Company at the Market. Designed and directed by Janice Honeyman assisted by Robert Whitehead, with Neville Thomas, Frantz Dobrowsky, Vanessa Cooke, David Eppel, Beverley Melnick, Jeremy Crutchley, Michael Maxwell. Musical director John Oakley-Smith.

1983: Performed by The Company in the Baxter Concert Hall at the Baxter Theatre.
