Tembsie Times

Tembsie Times (1951-2021) was an actress.

Sometimes also referred to as Themsie Times.

Biography

Themsie Times was born in 1951 in Gqeberha (formerly Port Elizabeth), South Africa. She died on 9 December 2021 in Johannesburg, Gauteng, South Africa.

Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance

As a stage performer she appeared in Marius Weyers's 1984 English production of Poppie Nongena

Beginning with Oh George! in 1981, her film career wasfar more substantial, with numerous appearances in films and TV dramas/series, including: Kampus: 'n Varsity-Storie (1986), Allan Quatermain and the Lost City of Gold (1986) African Express (1990), Cry, the Beloved Country (1995), Dangerous Ground (1997), Yizo Yizo (1999), Stander (2003), Beat the Drum (2003), 7de Laan (2008–2016), Actually Quite a Lot (2016), Shadow (2019), Dead Places (2021)
