The Free Filmmakers Cooperative was a loose association of filmmakers

The organization

Based in in Johannesburg, it was founded in the 1980s by a number of independent filmmakers and artists, including William Kentridge, Angus Gibson.

Among the films produced under thew auspices of the FFC was the documentary film Freedom Square and the Back of the Moon (William Kentridge and Angus Gibson, 1986)
