La Mort de Chaka is a play in five tableaux by Seydou Badian (1928-2018)[1] of Mali.


The original text

Originally written in French, La Mort de Chaka was first published by Presence Africaine, Paris, in 1961. A second edition appeared in 1962.

Translations and adaptations

Translated into English as The Death of Chaka by Clive Wake and the text published by Oxford University Press, Nairobi in 1968 (second edition 1969).
