An academic publishing house which published an extensive number of South African writers. In 19** it opened a Cape Town office. Its list of plays and books about Southern African theatre over the years include Imfene kaDebeza Neminye Imidlalwana (usually translated as "Debeza's Baboon") by Guybon B. Sinxo (1925), *** Buzani Kubawo by W.K. Tamsanqa (1958), Birth of a Union by Gordon Bagnall (1960), Kukh’Utixo kule nto by P.M. Ntloko (1961), uNgodongwane by P.M. Ntloko (1961), Inene nasi isibhozo by A. Mtingane (1965), Botsang Rre (Setswana) by W.K. Tamsanqa & G.S. Gaetsewe (1965), *. They also published most of Athol Fugard’s plays over the years, including Dimetos and Two Early Plays (1968?*), **, The Road to Mecca (198*), Playland (1992/3?*), Play collections include Play Workshop (ed. Robin Malan, 1975), **.
