No. 1 Utopia Lane is a one-act play by Damon Galgut.

The original text

The play examines the claustrophobic hold that one man exerts over a group of weaklings, and their striving for independence. It was written while the author was a pupil at Pretoria Boys' High School and and Galgut won a prize at the 1981 SACEE One-act Play Festival for it.

The text was published by Jonathan Ball in 1983/5?* (with Echoes of Anger). 1988).

Translated into Afrikaans translation by Ray Theron as Utopialaan No.1.
