She made her debut as a playwright with the production of her first play, Kinderspeletjies, at the Kampustoneel Festival in Pretoria in 1986.
Other works include Dankie, Meneer Jordaan (1989), Moeders is Vir Ewig and Die Vaal Koestertjie.
