Jani van der Westhuizen

Biography

Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance

She completed her matriculation at the National School of the Arts (1994-1996), and then completed a Bachelor of Arts degree in film acting at AFDA (the South African School of Motion Picture Medium and Live Performance, 1996 - 2005), as well as a writing and directing diploma with AFDA in 1998.

She wrote the socio-political satireVote for Me, with grants from The National Arts Council of South Africa in 1999 and 2000, and it was performed in the Havana Theatre Café, Johannesburg in 2001.
