Based on the beloved regional stories of C.G.S. de Villiers (known as "Dr Con"), the series was scripted by Johan van Jaarsveld, produced by Visio Film Produksies and directed by Manie van Rensburg.
The cat consisted of Babs Laker, Jannie Gildenhuys, Johan van Jaarsveld, Limpie Basson, Percy Sieff, Annelize van der Ryst, Marga van Rooy, Grethe Fox, Marie Schoeman, Ian Roberts, Marieta Channel, Emile Aucamp, Louw Verwey, Wilma Stockenström and Nerina Ferreira.
