The play draws its inspiration from the 1960s “hippie” movement and is set in Hillbrow, Johannesburg, which is the scene of a visitation from a latter-day prophet, Hieronimo Novo. First published by DALRO (1972) then in the collection Players: A Collection of One-Act Plays (eds Temple Hauptfleisch and Ted Townsend, pub. Academica Publishers, 1987). (See Gosher, 1988)
