Mary Byron (19**-1953) was a British actress and director.

Biography

Mary Byron died of cancer, 1953.


Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance

She visited South Africa in 1947-1949, under the auspices of Brian Brooke, to direct Night Must Fall, Clutterbuck, A Man About the House, Hedda Gabler, Charley's Aunt, Home at Seven, The Happiest Days of Your Life, for the Brian Brooke Company.

She also produced Laura for the Cape Reps in 1948.
