Sybrand die Watermaker
Sybrand die Watermaker (“Sybrand the water maker”) is a one-act play by Eugène Terre'Blanche (1941-).
Originally known as Sybrand (and described as a one act play written for the South African Police Force), it was probably first performed by Terre'Blanche's own society, the Suid-Afrikaanse Polisie Toneelgeselskap and the text was published as a performance text by DALRO in 1969
It was the first play performed by Ceres Amateur Toneelvereniging in 1974.
The play was then published as Sybrand die Watermaker in the collection Iewers Langs die Pad by Van Schaik in 1983. The collection was prescribed for schools in 1983 and 1984.
