Songs of Hangings and Redemption is a cabaret for 3 musicians by Graham Weir (1959-2020).

The title also occurs as Songs of Hanging and Redemption and Songs of Hangings and Redemptions in various documents.


The original text

A cabaret about outlaws, bandits, sinners and saints, using known ballads. First performed at the Kalk Bay Theatre in 2006, directed by Megan Choritz, performed by Graham Weir with musicians Pitjie Rommelare and Simon Ratcliffe, .

The piece was nominated for a Fleur du Cap Award.
