Don McCorkindale (19**-). Actor.

Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance

He has appeared on stage in productions of Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead (PACT 1968), Halfway up the Tree (Alexander Theatre 1968), A Flea in her Ear (Alexander Theatre 1968), The Magistrate (PACT 1969), She Stoops to Conquer (NAPAC 1969), The Emperor (NAPAC 1969) and Falstaff (as "Shallow", 1976).

Together with Molly Seftel he starred in Charles Marowitz’s The Shrew, directed by Dawn Lindberg at the Chelsea Theatre in 1975. He performed in Barney Simon’s production of the Marat/Sade, the official opening production of the Market Theatre in 1976.

Don also performed in Black Comedy, Any Wednesday, Alpha Beta and on a variety tour for the Defense Force. Played Achilles in Troilus and Cressida for PACT and in the one man revue It All Comes Off Tax.

Peter Stevenson planned a production of Joburg Sis! as a lunchtime performance at The King's Head in London, with Richard E. Grant, Fiona Ramsay and Don in the cast (letter dated 4 August 1982 held by NELM: [Collection: SIMON, Barney]: 1995. 11. 8. 12. 5. 4).
