Die Seepsteenbataljon ("The soap-stone battalion") is the title of a radio serial (1972), a television serial (1978) and a published novelization (1978), all written by Kobus Louw.
The series
An Afrikaans comedy series for television, about a bumbling private detective with a good heart and a talent for grabbing the wrong end of the stick, it premiéred on 18 March 1976.

At the 1976 Artes Awards, the series won the Award for best drama producer (Manie van Rensburg).
