Engeland in het Jaar 1651, of Deugd en Misdaad ("England in the year 1651, or virtue and crime") is Dutch translation of an (unidentified) historical play in five acts by Friedrich Wilhelm Ziegler (1761-1827) [1]

Freely translated from the German into Dutch as Engeland in het Jaar 1651, of Deugd en Misdaad by C.J. Roobol, published by Westerman and Zoon and C. van der Hulst in Amsterdam, 1833.

Performance history in South Africa

1876: Performed in the Oddfellows Hall, Cape Town, by Aurora II on 5 October with De Zaakwaarnemer (F. van der Stempel).
