Written for the Rederijkers, published in Issue 5 of Thalia, Verzameling van Blijspelen voor Rederijkers-kamers by A van Hulst, Kampen, in 1867.

Performance history in South Africa
1869: First performed in the Germania Hall, Cape Town, by Aurora II on 4 August, with Frank, de Gierigaard (Arnold).
1875: Performed in the Athenaeum Hall, Cape Town on 22 September by the Rederijkerskamer Aurora II, with Broederhaat, Of Het Einde Van Een Booswicht (Heroldt).
