Peter Joyce is a book editor and writer.

Biography

He studied modern history at Cambridge University, before immigrating to Africa. After spending time in Zimbabwe working for publishing companies, he moved to Cape Town to help launch the Readers Digest book-publishing division. Leaving to become a freelance writer, he went on to produce more than 60 books, in such varied fields as travel, history, biography, home improvement and a children's novel have also featured.

Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance

His paperback source book, A Concise Dictionary of South African Biography, is extremely useful for information on South African critics, performers and writers.
