I Love my Wife is an adult musical comedy [1]. Book and lyrics by Michael Stewart, music composed and arranged by Cy Coleman from a play by Luis Rego.

Performance history in South Africa

1978-1979: Produced by Brickhill-Burke at His Majesty's Theatre in 1978, after which the production went on a nationwide tour, including the Baxter Theatre in 1979. Director and Choreographer: Joan Brickhill, Louis Burke. The cast of four were Tobie Cronjé Jessica Jones, Erica Rogers and Michael McGovern with the on-stage musicians Barry Jarman, Eddie Eckstein, Pete Clifford and Paul Ditchfield of the group The Bats.

1982: At the Civic Theatre, Johannesburg, Brickhill-Burke brought back their great success, opening 25 May. After a run in Sydney, Australia, it returned to the Civic with cast changes. Joining Tobie Cronjé and Eddie Eckstein were Bartholomew John, Erica Rogers and Sharon Lynne.
