He grew up in Rawsonville in the Western Cape.

Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance
On stage he has appeared in Plofstof by Pieter Jacobs (KKNK, 2004).
He was the main organiser of the Jacaranda Nasionale Kunstefees in Pretoria which was held from 26 April to 2 May 2010. (Beeld, 7 April 2010).
