Jocelyn Broderick (born circa 1962). Bilingual actress and singer.

Biography

Training

Graduated with a BA in Speech and Drama from the University of Natal - Pietermaritzburg in 1982.

Career

She joined PACT in the ealry 1980s. Joined PACT, working for both the English and Afrikaans Drama Companies for three years, then became freelance.

She has appeared in Die Vasvat van 'n Feeks, Ek Onthou vir Mamma, Dood van 'n Handelsreisiger, The Rise and Fall of the First Empress Bonaparte, Met Permissie Gesê, Robinson Crusoe.

Musical theatre includes roles in Kevin Feather’s Tarts (the Laundro, 1986), My Fair Lady (PACT, PACOFS and NAPAC, 1990), Camelot, The Buddy Holly Story, Godspell (1985), The March of the Falsettos, Falsettoland and Vere (Deon Opperman, 2002).

Television work includes Arende (198*) Ballade vir 'n Enkeling (19**), Reap the Whirlwind (198*), Homeland, and Egoli. Film work includes Jock of the Bushveld (1986), The Last Leprechaun (199*) and Merlin (200*)

Awards, etc

Nominated for a Aavanti Award as Best Supporting Actress for her role on television in Natural Rhythm, 1999.
