"Brink Afrikaans" is a facetious name given by some people to Kaaps-Hollands ("Cape-Dutch"), the early, transitional form of Afrikaans, as used in a strongly Dutch influenced fashion by the playwright Melt J. Brink in his farces and plays at the turn of the 19th century.
The term Cape-Dutch however, was more often specifically used to simply mean Afrikaans.
