Enone van den Bergh
(Eunone[?*]) (19*-) Actress. ** Grew up in Krugersdorp, initially amateur actress and a member of the Krugersdorp Municipal Dramatic and Operatic Society. ** Turned professional in 1948/9 when she became a member of the first bilingual (Afrikaans/English) company set up by the National Theatre Organisation. Acted for them in Altyd my Liefste (1947/8) [, Dear Brutus (1948)?*, Nag het die wind gebring (1948/49), An Inspector Calls (1948/49), Minnaar onder die Wapen (Arms and the Man, 1949), Die Indringer (The Outsider, 1949), The Guardsman (1949), The Glass Menagerie (??* 1949), Macbeth (in Afrikaans, 1950), Hassan (1950)*??? VAN DEN BERGH, Enone. Toured with the National Theatre throughout 1948 with a company including André Huguenet, Siegfried Mynhardt, Leon Gluckman, Frank Wise, Lorna Cowell, Vivienne Drummond and Mathilda Hanekom doing many productions.
