The original text
Dit voel leeg is an Afrikaans South African translation, by Hugo Taljaard, of a play by the British playwright Lucy Kirkwood. It tells the story of a victim of human trafficking — one of millions of modern-day slaves and of the hundreds of thousands of people trafficked across borders each year.
Performance history in South Africa
2012: Staged at the US Woordfees, Stellenbosch, directed by Henry Mylne, in the Klein Libertas Teater, on 9 and 11 March, on the Sanlam Dramafees programme. The cast was Kim Cloete and Chanelle Davids.
