The Centre of Creative Arts is a organization based in the School of the Arts at the University of KwaZulu-Natal.

The Centre

Founded in 1996, inter alia by publisher Ad. Donker, the aim of the Centre is to grow and support cultural leadership, promote artistic excellence and position the arts to be a dynamic advocate for social justice.

Contribution to South African film, media, theatre and performance

The Centre has been the host of a number of festivals over the course of years, including the Time of the Writer, Poetry Africa, JOMBA! Contemporary Dance festival, Durban International Film Festival and Artfluence Human Rights Festival.
