The Taadaa Website
A bilingual Afrikaans and English website dedicated to the South African arts, including music, drama, dance or fine arts. Founded in 2014 by Kosie Smit (Founder and Business Manager) with Johan Myburg (Content Editor) and Johan Hendriksz (Web Administrator).
The TADA website
The Theatre and Dance Alliance (TADA) is a coalition of organisations, institutions, festivals and companies that operate, and individuals who make at least part of their livelihoods, within the South African dance and theatre sector.

TheaterEncyclopedie
TheaterEncyclopedie (or Theaterencyclopedie) is a Dutch online, open access encyclopaedia of theatre. Wiki-based, much like ESAT, it contains information on all the performing arts ("podiumkunsten"), with the exclusion of music. Included are theatre, dance, opera, musical theatre, musicals, mime, cabaret, youth theatre, puppetry, revue, show, variété, illusionism and circus. Also included biographies of all participants and artists, overviews of companies, theatre venues, and thematic entries, etc. It invites contributions from anyone interested in the performing arts (see )

"The Theatre" Cyclopaedia
This is a full text transcription of the 1909 publication "The Stage" cyclopaedia; a bibliography of plays which, according to its cumbersome full title, provides "an alphabetical list of plays and other stage pieces of which any record can be found since the commencement of the English stage, together with descriptions, authors' names, dates and places of production, and other useful information, comprising in all nearly 50,000 plays, and extending over a period of upwards of 500 years." The name of the compiler ("Reginald Clarence") is a pseudonym.

Theatre Heritage Australia Inc.
Theatre Heritage Australia Inc. is a non-profit organisation established in 1995 to foster knowledge and research into the history of Australian theatre. Members include theatre professionals, academics, and enthusiasts dedicated to documenting and sharing Australia’s unique theatre heritage. It has a number of online databases and publishes a Newsletter and the online On Stage Magazine.
Besides a wealth of material on Australian and British theatre, the site also contains a great deal of information about plays performed in South Africa, as well as the theatremakers and performers that visited or were born there.

TheTheatreTimes.com is a non-partisan, global theatre portal, with over 3,400 articles covering theatre in 90 countries and regions. Since its launch in November 2016, TheTheatreTimes.com has published over 4,700 articles covering theatre in 90 countries and regions. With 32 thematic sections, more than 140 Regional Managing Editors, over 60 media partners around the world.
It was originally founded by Magda Romanska, a writer and dramaturg from Boston, and Beatriz Cabur, a theatre director and playwright living in London and working worldwide. Since 2018, it has been under the leadership of Magda Romanska and Kasia Lech.

A site about the people who laid the foundations for theatre lighting design in South Africa. The primary focus is video interviews with the various individuals.
Theatre Lives video archives
This is a extremely valuable video archive launched on 20 August 2017, housed on the website https://www.theatrelives.co.za.
An initiative funded by The Cape Town Theatre Trust and led by Peter Bode (research and interviews) and Lillias Bode (production and editing) , with Website design by Nudge Studio and Amilcar De Carvalho (https://www.battalionmedia.tv).
The primary purpose of the archive is to record and preserve video interviews with theatre practitioners who have shaped South African theatre in the past five decades. The disciplines included are drama, music and dance. The criteria are that each person interviewed must be over 60 years old and must have given a lifetime to the theatre. These interviews are not censored and have not been edited down.
The first phase of 32 interviews was recorded in 2016/17.

Théâtre-documentation.com is an open access internet site devoted to French theatre in general.
The site, written in French, hosts 1674 published works which are made available online in PDF format, and cover the period from the 17th to 21st centuries. Biographies of the French authors are also available.

Trove search engine
Trove is a project launched by the National Library of Australia in August 2008 as an open access search engine to help researchers find and use resources relating to Australia. It's is actually described as being "more than a search engine, for it brings together content from libraries, museums, archives, repositories and other research and collecting organisations big and small".
The website gives one access to much useful information on theatrical matters relevant to South African theatrical history, particularly travelling companies and the works performed during the 19th and early 20th centuries.

TV with Thinus blog
TVSA website
TVSA is an independent television website that provides viewers with an interactive “TV companion” to South African TV broadcasting.
While South Africa's television channels all have their own websites, TVSA covers all of the channels and TV platforms available to South Africans, featuring daily highlights and premieres, editorial, blogs, message boards, press releases, teasers, show and actor pages, image and video galleries and so on.
