Artscape New Writing Programme [1] is devoted to the professional writing and production of new South African plays. The programme accepts unsolicited manuscripts from anyone in isiXhosa, Afrikaans or English. A central part of the programme is playwriting workshops.

The project was created by Roy Sargeant and has been running since 2001.
