La Paix chez soi ("Peace at Home") is a comedy in one act by French dramatist Georges Courteline (1858-1929) [1].

The original text
The play was first performed on 25 November 1903 at the Théâtre Antoine, directed by André Antoine and became part of the repertoire of the Comédie Française in 1906.

Translated into Afrikaans as Vrede Tuis by Reinet Louw.
Performance history in South Africa
1971: Vrede Tuis was staged by PACT, directed by Truida Louw, featuring George Ballot (Theo) and Annette Engelbrecht (Valentine).
1975: Vrede Tuis was staged by Universiteitsteater Stellenbosch in the H.B. Thom Theatre in October, directed by Ria Olivier, starring Jannie Blanckenberg, Eugenie Kemp and Elmé Gildenhuys.
