Hannes Spangenberg (19**-). Actor.

Biography

Born in Kimberley, he completed his schooling at Diamantveld High School in 2004, then went to the University of Stellenbosch to do a B.Dram (in acting and writing, 2005 - 2007), an Hons B.Dram (Cum Laude) in Directing (2008).

This was followed by a BComm degree in Management Sciences, Marketing, Entrepreneurship & Innovation at Stellenbosch. Later followed by an MBA (Distinction, 2017-2018) at the Graduate School of Business, University of Cape Town.

Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance

While studying drama, he did theatre posters and illustrations for various productions as well as creating and directing Soetbek (a theatre sketch comedy) and wrote and directed Skrapnel for as practical project for the Hons BDram degree.

As an actor, he appeared in departmental productions of Slaghuis (Anker, 2006), Die Storm (Shakespeare, 2007).

He also wrote two short dramas, Onderstebo (2007) and Treinspoor (2008) both published in Penseel.
