The play was made into a 1919 American silent comedy film directed by Harry Beaumont.[1] (The film itself is lost.)
Performance history in South Africa
1899: Performed by a company led by Frank Atherley, under the management of the Wheeler-Edwardes Company, appearing in the Opera House, Cape Town, early in the year.
1903: Performed by the Sass and Nelson Company, appearing in the Opera House, Cape Town, in June, with Emma Glynne as "Lady Algernon Chetland".
