Hawtrey Comedy Company
The Hawtrey Comedy Company was an Australian theatrical touring company headed by the actor-manager W.F. Hawtrey Charles Hawtrey (1858-1923)[1]
They visited South Africa in 1894 to do a production of Charley's Aunt (Thomas) as one of the first performances at the Good Hope Theatre, Cape Town, under the management of the Wheeler Company.
