Havana
Havana is an Edwardian musical comedy in three acts by George Grossmith, Jr. (1874-1935)[1] and Graham Hill ()[], music by Leslie Stuart (1866-1928)[2], lyrics by Adrian Ross (1859-1933)[] and George Arthurs ()[].

The original text
The musical premiered on 25 April to 12 December 1908 at the Gaiety Theatre, London, running for 221 performances before touring the provinces. An American production had a Philadelphia tryout then played at the Casino Theatre in New York from 11 February 1909 to 25 September 1909.
The musical score was published in London by Chappell in 1908.

Performance history in South Africa
1909: Performed by the New Gaiety Company, on tour under the auspices of the Wheeler-Edwardes Company, appearing at the Opera House in Cape Town in May, then opening Pretoria on 7 June and ending with a run at His Majesty’s Theatre in Johannesburg. The large cast included Jack Cannot, Florence Imeson and Doris Greville.
