Love Laughs at Locksmiths

Love Laughs at Locksmiths is a musical farce in two acts by George Colman the Younger (1762-1836)[1].

The original text

First performed as a "comic opera" in two acts in London in July 1803 at the Theatre Royal, Haymarket, with an overture and music composed and selected by Michael Kelly. Text printed by T. Woodroof, 1803.

Performance history in South Africa

1827: Performed in Cape Town in May by the Garrison Amateur Company in the South African Theatre (African Theatre), with Speed the Plough (Thomas Morton).
