Training
He completed a Performers Diploma in Speech and Drama (University of Cape Town Drama Department 1980-1983) and a Directors Course at the British Theatre Association (London 1987).

Grant’s Take the Floor (the Laager and on national and international tours, 1994, 2002), *, A Writer’s Last Word – A One Man Show (National Arts Festival 1998), District Six – The Musical (Baxter Theatre, 2002), Kanna, hy kô Hystoe (Baxter Theatre, 2003), Jack and the Beanstalk (Johannesburg Civic, 2003, **, Motown Magic (Gold Reef City, 2009).
His directing credits include * Buckingham Palace, District Six (Baxter Theatre, 199*) * Where the Boys Are (On Broadway, Cape Town, 2008), *.
He wrote and performed in My Word! Redesigning Buckingham Palace at the Baxter Theatre's Masambe venue, December 2013. The one-man, one-hour long theatre production is a celebration of the life and work of legendary writer Richard Rive.
Has been an actor in various international films and made guest appearances on SA TV shows.
