The original text
A free adaptation by Bunsen of the original German novel by Johann Gottwerth Müller, published in 1781/1782. The play was performed and published in 1790.
Translations and adaptations
Translated into Dutch and published as Siegfried van Lindenberg in Amsterdam by Hendrik Gartman, Willem Vermandel, and Jan Willem Smit in 1790/1791. Performed in The Royal Dutch Theatre at the Hague in 1808.
