John Rogers
(****-****). Actor. Trained at RADA. Worked with the National Theatre (1963), NAPAC (1965-1967) and PACT (1968-1910). Performed in Kennedy’s Children, Relatively Speaking (at the Market Theatre in 1978), Misalliance (with PACT in 1978), The Passion of Dracula (for Toerien/Firth in 1979), Ross (with PACT in 1979), Bodies (at the Market Theatre in 1980), The Merchant of Venice (at the Market Theatre in 1980) (SACD 1975/76) (SACD1979/80) (SACD 1980/81)
(19**-) Director. *** He starred in Leonard Schach production of Robert Patrick’s Kennedy’s Children together with John Higgins, Erica Rogers, Bess Finney and Lynn Hooker for The Company at the Chelsea Theatre in 1975. He starred in a revival of Journey’s End, directed by Norman Coombes for PACT at the Market Theatre in February 1977. It also starred Frantz Dobrowsky, Richard Haines, Michael McCabe, Dale Cutts and Norman himself. He starred in Alan Ayckbourn’s comedy Relatively Speaking, directed by John Hussey at The Market Theatre in 1978. It also starred Hussey, Andre Hattingh and Helen Jessop. Directed plays for the Theatre Worskhop Company (Durban).
