The Apple Cart (1929) is a play by George Bernard Shaw. First performances Polsky Theatre, Warsaw, 4 June 1929 and Festival Theatre, Malvern, 19 August 1929.

1930s: Staged by J.E.H. Duckworth in the Cape Town Little Theatre pre-1934.
1942: Produced by Jean de Beer for the Cape Town Repertory Theatre Society in the Little Theatre, 1942, with settings by Cecil Pym.
1968: Opening at St John's Theatre, Durban, on 1 May 1968 with Frank Shelley, Erica Rogers, Phillip Boucher and Zoë Randall. Directed by Frank Shelley for NAPAC.
1992: Presented by CAPAB at the Nico Malan Arena from 1 to 12 September 1992 directed by Ralph Lawson, starring Peter Butler, Matthew Roberts, Royston Stoffels, Blaise Koch, Phillip Boucher, Mark Hoeben, Neels Coetzee, Brenda Wood, Mary Dreyer, Sara Marchett, David Muller and Michelle Scott. Decor Michael Mitchell, costumes Eunice Pengelly-Rogers, lighting Patrick Curtis.
