Biography

Youth

Training

Received an Honours degree from Rhodes University, 1987.


Career

spent six months with CAPAB, one year with PACT.

Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance

As a student she directed The Maids and had a rolein Lysistrata.

She starred in Romeo and Juliet at Maynardville in 1987. She starred in Deon Opperman’s Stille Nag at the Adcock-Ingram Theatre in 1989. She starred as Emma in Reza de Wet’s A Worm in the Bud in 1990. She starred in Ilse van Hemert’s production of Chekhov’s The Seagull at the Adcock-Ingram in 1990.

She went on to perform in Hollywood movies and television, with roles in films such as Schindler's List (1993) and Junebug (2006).

Awards, etc

For her role in Houd-den-Bek, she received a DALRO award.
