(18**-18**) Amateur actor in Cape Town.
Performed on occasion for the Garrison Players, inter alia specifically mentioned in The Bloomer Costume(Stirling), The Lady of Lyons (Bulwer Lytton)
1851: He assisted in aan evening of "Dramatic Entertainments", including readings from various plays (The Lady of Lyons, Romeo and Juliet, Macbeth, etc.) by Mrs Greig, a visiting stage artist on her way to England from an engagement in the eastern colonies, took place in the Stockmarket Building in Cape Town in May.
