Die Arrestasie by Uys Krige. The original Afrikaans version of his comedy about the governorsip of Willem Adriaan van der Stel. Commissioned for the Huguenot Festival in 1939 and produced by Volksteater in Pretoria on 22 September 1939, directed by Hettie Erlank. Directed by Leonie Pienaar in October 1938, and in May 1942 by Tilana Hanekom for K.A.T.. First published in Die Wit Muur en ander eenbedrywe by Unie Volkspelers in 1949. Translated by Uys Krige as The Arrest and published in The Sniper and other One-act Plays by HAUM in 1964, as well as in Plays from Near and Far (eds Guy Butler and Tim Peacock, pub. Maskew Miller, 1972). Also published in Skerm en Masker (Van Schaik), Vier Een Bedrywe (Van Schaik) en Spel en Spelers (Van Schaik).**
