Rafiek Mammon
He holds an M.Phil Degree from Stellenbosch University and a B.A. (Soc Sc) Degree from UCT. His background is in teaching and modern workshop facilitation methods. He has been involved with community theatre projects since 1990, having run theatre-in-education projects for youths and adults. He taught at a secondary school for 7 years before running the Arts and Culture programme, the “Writing Centre” and lecturing in the Journalism Department of Cape Peninsula University of Technology since 1994. He has written and directed several productions in the Theatre-in-education & professional entertainment sectors.
In 2007 he and Gary Naidoo founded Ganarama Productions, a company aimed at increasing communication skills through industrial theatre and edu-tainment techniques.
