Die Pomporrelkonsert is an Afrikaans one-person play based on the stories of Ferdinand Deist

The original text

The stories, taken from Deist's collection of short stories set in the Sandveld and called Die Pomporrelkonsert en Ander Verhale (J.L. van Schaik, 1988), were adapted for the stage by Frans Swart, the text featuring more than 20 different characters. Swart also added some appropriate stories by the authors Boerneef and Jan Spies to enhance the text.
