The original text
A play for 6-13 year olds about an unwanted puppy that saves the day and becomes a family’s hero. Set in the Inanda Township, the play focuses on a young boy who is part of a child-headed household. An orphaned puppy wanders into S'fiso's shack and changes his life.
Written in 2010, and developed collaboratively between Lashona Arts and Gisele Turner of Happy-go-Lucky Productions, it has been performed in Durban at the D.U.T. Children's Festival (in 2011) and has toured schools.
The text has been published as a Grade Seven Set work for English (first language) and Zulu (second language) and has been included in a compendium of award-winning plays by Junkets Publisher.
The playtext gained second place in the Trinity College of London International Playwriting Competition

Performance history in South Africa
2011: Performed Lashona Art and Theatre Creations[1] and Gisele Turner of Happy-go-Lucky Productions at the D.U.T. Children's Festival and has been taken tour of Natal schools.
