Mary and the Conqueror is a play by Juliet Jenken.

A play about a chance meeting between an author (Mary Renault) and her subject (Alexander the Great).

Commissioned for poduction at the seventh Artscape Spring Drama Season is a newly commissioned, Mary and the Conqueror. The production is written by one of South Africa’s young, award-winning playwright, Juliet Jenkin.

2012 Performed at Artscape in July as part of the Artscape New Writing Programme 2011 presentations. Directed by Roy Sergeant with Diane Wilson, Adrienne Pearce, Armand Aucamp and Francis Chouler. Design by Alfred Rietmann, sound design by Lynley Pillay.
