Elisha Zeeman-Knoesen is a writer, director, and actor.

Biography

Training

Elisha Zeeman-Knoesen passed her Honours Degree in Cabaret from the Stellenbosch University with distinction. Her research highlights the satirical possibilities for stage puppets in South Africa.

Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance

After completing her studies, she was continuously involved in script development of various plays. Some of these projects were selected for the ATKV-Tienertoneel’s regional final and Pronk Podium final. She is a founding member of The Loft Puppet Company, which produced regular puppet theatre productions for three years. She was recently appointed as creator and writer of the first two seasons for Huisgenoot’s children’s series Die Babbelbende.

Her play, Stoffel, was showcased at Teksmark 2023.
