Happy Endings are Extra is a play by Ashraf Johaardien

Set in Cape Town, it is about the married couple Gabriel and Chantelle. She thinks that she can cope with his bisexuality, until he meets and falls in love with Chris, an underage rent boy.

Published by Just Done Productions Publishing in 2003.

2003: Premiered at the Baxter Theatre Centre,

2004: Performed at the Grahamstown Festival (2004), directed and designed by Neville Engelbrecht, starring Lynita Crofford, Paul Harris and Rory Acton-Burnell.

2005: Performed at the Artscape Theatre Centre, featuring Deirdre Wolhuter, Darron King and Pieter Jacobs 2005),

2006: Performed at the Dublin International Gay Theatre Festival (2006),

2007: Performed at the Diversionary Theatre, San Diego CA and at the Bailiwick Rep Theatre, Chicago USA.
