F.N. Carter was a singer and actor.

Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance
He was a member of the Lyric Company of A. Bonamici and Edgar Perkins, and appeared as "John Turpitt" for the company when they did Dorothy (Stephenson and Cellier) as the first piece to be performed at the new Opera House, Cape Town, on 31 August, 1893.
