The film
Gerhard Steenberg is a murderer who is out on parole. He travels to the town of Duiwelsvallei (Devil's Valley in English). He interferes in the strange lives of the locals. Things go well at first, but soon there is murder, jealousy, revenge and betrayal. Gerhard becomes ensnared in a love triangle. Even the suicide of his girlfriend fails to drive the unwanted stranger from the valley. Only blood - that of his late wife, his best friend Bergsma and his own - will allow him to leave Devil's Valley.
