Patrick Curtis, (1958-) Designer, stage- and production manager.

Career

In the 1980s he was Assistant Production Manager and designer for the Market Theatre. In 198*? became Stage Manager for the CAPAB Drama, in 1996 Production Manager for the Little Theatre (University of Cape Town) and in 200* Production Manager for the Baxter Theatre.

Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance

The first set he designed for was Klaaglied vir Koos (Market Theatre, 1986).

Pigs on Passion (1985); Die Teken (1986), Thina Bantu - We People (1988). Among the other productions he designed for are Barney Simon's Eden and Other Places (Market Theatre, 198*), Robert Kirby's Heliotrope Bouquet (CAPAB, 199*?), Top Girls (Little Theatre, 199*), The Trojan Women (Little Theatre, 199*), Athol Fugard's Valley Song (Baxter Theatre, 200*), For Coloured Girls Who Have Considered Suicide/When the Rainbow is Enuf (Baxter Theatre, 2002), Pula (Baxter Theatre, 200*), Church Full Of Light (Baxter Theatre, 200*), Adam Small's Kanna, hy kô Hystoe (Baxter Theatre, 2003), Oom Wanja/Uncle Vanya (Baxter Theatre, 2004 - Fleur du Cap Award), Wit (Baxter Theatre, 2004), Twaalfde Nag (Oude Libertas Theatre/Baxter Theatre, 2005), Betrayal (Baxter Theatre, 2006 – Fleur du Cap), . Awards, etc

He won a Fleur du Cap Award for Best technical contribution in the early 2000s and was nominated in two categories in 2012.
